Send or receive an international wire with KBTB. KBTB customers can contact the bank to ask about sending funds to a recipient abroad or receiving an incoming international wire into an eligible KBTB account. Available destinations, currencies, account eligibility, processing times, fees, and required documents depend on KBTB’s current services and the details of the transfer.

To send an international wire from KBTB
- Ask KBTB to confirm the service. Contact KBTB through its official website, a branch, or another verified channel. Confirm that your account can send a wire to the destination country and ask for the current form and instructions.
- Get the recipient’s bank instructions directly. Ask the recipient for their full legal name and address, bank name and address, account number or IBAN where applicable, SWIFT/BIC code, and any intermediary-bank details KBTB requires. Verify the instructions with the recipient using a trusted contact method.
- Prepare the transfer information. KBTB may ask for the amount and currency, transfer purpose, recipient details, identification, or supporting documents. Provide only information requested through KBTB’s secure process.
- Review the cost and delivery information. Before authorizing, review KBTB’s transfer fee, exchange rate if currency conversion applies, any disclosed third-party fees, the amount expected to reach the recipient, and the estimated availability date. Ask whether additional recipient-bank charges or taxes may apply.
- Authorize and keep the receipt. Check every recipient and payment detail before submitting. Complete KBTB’s security verification, save the confirmation and disclosures, and monitor the transfer. Contact KBTB promptly if you notice an error or suspect fraud.
To receive an international wire into KBTB
- Request KBTB’s current incoming wire instructions. Contact KBTB using an official channel and specify the sending country and currency. Ask which beneficiary-bank, account, SWIFT/BIC, routing, and intermediary details apply to your particular transfer.
- Give the sender the exact instructions from KBTB. Include your name and KBTB account details exactly as shown in the bank’s instructions. Do not use account numbers, correspondent bank details, or forms from an old page, email, or third party.
- Ask about incoming fees and conversion. Confirm whether KBTB or another institution may charge an incoming or intermediary fee, whether the funds will be converted to U.S. dollars, and how the exchange rate will be determined.
- Check with KBTB if the funds are delayed. Keep the sender’s wire confirmation and reference number. Contact KBTB through a verified channel for help tracing the transfer.
Important transfer information
International wires may involve exchange-rate conversion, sending-bank or intermediary charges, and fees at the recipient’s bank. The recipient may receive less than the sender’s original amount. Review the transfer disclosures before sending; for qualifying transfers, U.S. consumer protections may require information about fees, exchange rates, the amount expected to be received, and cancellation or error-resolution rights. See the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s guide to sending money abroad.
Security reminder: Wire instructions can be targeted by fraud. Verify any new or changed bank details with the intended recipient using a phone number or contact method you already trust. KBTB will confirm current instructions, supported currencies, service availability, fees, and timing. This page does not publish KBTB account numbers or guarantee that a particular transfer will be accepted or completed by a specific date.
