Move money with KBTB. KBTB customers can use the bank’s approved transfer options to move funds between eligible KBTB accounts or, where available, to an account at another U.S. financial institution. The transfer method, limits, fees, processing time, and eligibility depend on KBTB’s current services and your account.

How to make a transfer through KBTB
- Open a verified KBTB channel. Sign in through KBTB’s official online or mobile banking service if it is enabled for your account, or contact KBTB using the official contact details on its website. Do not use a link from an unexpected text, email, or social media message.
- Choose the transfer type. Select the appropriate option for a transfer between your own KBTB accounts or to another person or financial institution. Ask KBTB whether the transfer will use ACH, a domestic wire, or another service, and confirm that the recipient’s account can receive it.
- Enter and verify recipient information. Use the recipient name and bank details supplied directly by the recipient. Confirm the routing number and account number carefully; routing details may differ by transfer method. For a wire, confirm the recipient bank’s wire instructions with the recipient using a trusted contact method.
- Review the details before authorizing. Check the amount, source account, recipient, delivery date, fees, exchange rate if applicable, and any transfer limit. The final screen or KBTB disclosure should show the information available before you submit.
- Authorize and save confirmation. Complete KBTB’s security verification. Never share your password or one-time security code with anyone. Save the confirmation number and monitor your account until the transfer is complete.
- Contact KBTB promptly about a problem. If you entered incorrect information, see an unfamiliar transfer, or believe you were scammed, use an official KBTB contact channel immediately. Some transfers may be difficult to cancel after processing.
ACH transfers and wire transfers
ACH is an electronic transfer network used by banks and credit unions for payments such as direct deposit and bank-to-bank transfers. Processing may take more than one business day, and banks may set transfer limits or charge fees. A wire is a separate transfer method used to move money between financial institutions; domestic wires and international transfers may have different instructions, costs, and protections. KBTB will confirm which options it supports and the timing that applies to your transaction.
Before sending money, review KBTB’s current fee schedule, transfer limits, cutoff times, and account agreement. Do not assume a transfer is free, immediate, or reversible. For background, see the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s ACH overview and its guide to wire transfers.
